About Us

Our Mission Statement

Oasis Fellowship is a place where all people can come and gather around the presence of the Living God.  We desire to be a place for all people to come and have a life changing experience.  Our heart is to glorify God, give the people of God our (B.E.S.T.), and reach those who are 3D ( Distressed, Debt, Discontented)  with the life changing words of Jesus Christ.

Our History

We are a New Testament church which believes in building strong relationships. We bring encouragement and training for individual calls. The key to this equipping is relationship building, apostolic impartation, and strong biblical teaching. As a church plant , we desire to see nonbelievers won to Jesus. We desire to reach our city and our region with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Oasis Fellowship is the second church plant of Johnny and Kelly Mengarelli. Their first church plant was located in South Carolina, which was called Harvest Tabernacle. It was merged with another church in that area. Johnny and Kelly felt called by the Lord to come and start another work in the Kansas City, Missouri area. Glenn Barry, with Holy Fire Christian Ministries, is Johnny's mentor and spiritual advisor. Oasis Fellowship is also affiliated with Church on the Rock International located in Dallas, Texas. What We Believe:

  • We believe in the Tri-union of God. ( Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is Elo-Him)
  • We believe that only through the saving knowledge of Jesus can one be saved. It is not by works but by surrender.
  • True repentance means to change one's thinking and aligning it with the thoughts of Christ.
  • We believe in water baptism; however, it does not save the person but validates his or hers commitment to Christ.
  • We believe in the separate distinct baptism of the Holy Spirit for all believers. We celebrate the outpouring mentioned in Acts 2.
  • We believe in the 5 points of Christ. ( His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection, and His return.)
  • We believe in the New Testament way of celebrating and worshiping the Lord.
  • We believe that Church is not a BUILDING NOR A HOUSE but the Body of Christ.
  • We believe in reaching out to the Lost with the Life changing words of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in disciplining each new believer with the Word of God.
  • We believe that each mature believer is responsible for preaching and disciplining to the people of their community, city, nation , and the world.
  • We believe that the Word of God is God's hand book for the Church to follow after.
  • We believe that one church is not the IT church. We believe in joining together with other Churches, regardless of denomination, to see the Kingdom of God advanced. We believe God only sees one church and Christ is the head of that church.
  • We believe in reaching out with kindness to our community and to the world.
